The India Silk Bedside Nightstand

This flame‑veneered mahogany bombé bedside chest of drawers reflects the refined elegance of 18th‑century English furniture design. The rectangular top with a molded edge rests above a discreet brushing slide, followed by three gracefully shaped, serpentine drawers arranged in a graduated progression. Finely cast brass escutcheons and classic drop handles highlight the craftsmanship, while the plinth base and traditional ogee bracket feet complete the silhouette with architectural balance. Inspired by an original George III design circa 1770, this piece is executed in the manner of Thomas Chippendale, capturing the timeless sophistication of period English craftsmanship.
